INDO - JAPANESE CURRENCY

During the British rule in India, many fought the English in their own ways they think appropriate. Mahatma Gandhi, who chose non-violence, was considered the father of the Indian Nation because of his distinguished leadership quality and non-violence. Subhash Chandra Bose, on the other hand, took up arms and made an alliance with the Japanese Force, under the banner of Indian National Army (INA) and fought the British Govt. in India. INA first hoisted the Tri-color Indian flag in Manipur. It was during that time the INA and the Japanese Govt. used this currency.

During the World War II the Japanese force hires the locals for logistic supports and also for transportation of supplies. This currency was used as a means of transaction under the INA and Japanese Govt. business dealings. Today, the exact history of S.C Bose's death is a mystery and history is never complete when there is a missing link. Information and things that are related to a subject, if available, give a better picture or clarity of the picture. So, apart from the First Tri-color Indian flag, this currency note helps in bridging the gap created in the history of S.C Bose. Thus, avoiding confusion and avoid creating a distorted history.

All these findings, which are more than 60yrs old, are now antiques and part of Indian National heritage or treasure and they are priceless. We are all aware of the spectacle of Mahatma Gandhi, that is going be auction in early March 2009, is believed to be worth more than £30,000.
